Half of Scotland's 16-year-olds are paid to stay at school - Not mine!
Nearly half of all 16-year-olds in Scotland are now being paid to stay on at school in a scheme which last year cost the taxpayer £30m.
The hand-outs are part of a ministerial plan supposed to help youngsters being forced to leave education early because of the need to earn money.
